Who should register for the SRT-1 class?
Firefighters, Military, Police, and flood/disaster management teams. Anyone who is interested in swiftwater rescue techniques can register for this course

Who should register for the WRT class?
This course is geared towards river professionals – boaters, fisheries, kayakers, etc. The requirement for this course is that you have basic whitewater knowledge and competent swimming abilities. The course is taught in a flexible, fast paced environment.

Who should register for the RRC class?
Recreational river users such as rafters, cat boaters, kayakers, pack rafters, canoeists, river boarders and SUP paddlers should choose the River Rescue Certification (RRC). This special curriculum that has been developed by Sierra Rescue, CA (USA) to train private boaters, kayakers and non-profit organizations in the techniques and thought processes of Swiftwater Rescue. The RRC is recognized by Rescue 3 International, and comes with a certification which is good for 3 years. You will need whitewater experience for this course and solid swimming skills.

Who should register for the RRC-Pro class?
Professional boaters, river guides and kayakers who are comfortable and spend a great deal of time on the water. This curriculum will be challenging and include a skills testing component to emphasize knowing your own limits, skill level, knowledge of basic rope skills and the ability to execute a rescue as part of a team. If you spend a great deal of time on the water then you will be prepared and comfortable in this course.

If I am a river guide or kayaker currently certified in the RRC, how do I upgrade to the PRO?
If you received your RRC certification within the past 3 years, you can upgrade to the RRC-Pro for only for half price of the course fee! This option is available for all RRC-Pro classes.

How do I register for a Rescue India course?
You can simply click on the registration link on the webpage and complete the registration form. Payment can also be accepted through the website or via email. 50% of the payment is required to secure your spot. The full payment is due prior to the course in order to participate on day 1.

Is there a discount for re-certifying?
All certifications need to be up to date and not expired. For SRT and WRT courses, you will receive a 50% discount. For RRC courses, you will receive an 25% discount. For RRC-Pro courses you will receive 15% off. For all Technical Rope Rescue courses, you will receive a 50% discount.

Where does Rescue India teach?
Rescue India is based in Rishikesh, UKD but we teach our courses all over India. Please contact us if you have a specific location in mind as we are happy to travel to you.

Where should I stay during my course?
All of the training sites used by Rescue India have a nearby budget hotel or camping accommodations available. Please email us for the specific course that you are interested in to learn more about the available accommodation in that location. Bring your camping gear if you wish to camp or call us for more details.

What do I need to bring for a swiftwater/rescue classes class?
Equipment varies based on location and courses. Rescue India will provide you with an equipment list at the time of your booking

Is there a minimum age?
Yes, all participants must be 16 years old or above. All minors must bring with them the Participation Agreement signed by their parent or legal guardian. You will not be allowed to participate in the course without the signed Participation Agreement.

Is food provided by Rescue India?
Yes! Your all meals during the course are included in the course fee!
§Lots of drinking water, at least 2ltr per day (fresh water is available at most sites)!
§Feel free to bring your preferred snacks.

I lost my card! Can I get a duplicate?
Yes, duplicate cards are available for a Rs. 1500 charge. If you lost your card, give us a call with your payment information and we’ll get you a duplicate made. This card will be ordered from Rescue 3 International head office so it can take 4- 8 weeks.
