Thank you for your interest in the 6 day Combo course (Whitewater Rescue Technician (WRT)/WRT Professional & International Rafting Federation (IRF) grade 3 & 4/5 trip leader, river guide and safety kayak assessments) in Rishikesh and Karanprayag, Uttarakhand.

Combo course: 6 Day
• WRT/WRT PRO & IRF grade 3 & 4/5 river guide/trip leader and safety kayak assessment.

Dates:

  • October 17th - 19th 2016 (WRT/WRT PRO on Phoolchatti/Ganga river, Rishikesh)
  • October 27th - 29th 2016  (IRF grade 3 & 4/5 river guide/trip leader and safety kayak assessment on Pindar/Alaknanda river, Karanprayag, Uttarakhand). 

Location:

• Phoolchatti/Ganga river, Rishkesh and Pindar/Alaknanda River, Karanprayag, Uttrakhand.

Fees:

• Rs 22,500/person (Minimum 6 people recommended)

Fees include: Course & Instructor fees, Rescue 3 International digital photo I card & certificate and International Rafting Federation digital photo I card & certificate, WRT PRO Course manual, transportation from Rishikesh to Rishikesh, packed lunch (during the courses only), Course equipment materials (training uses only), whistle, raft, kayak etc. 

Not included: Meals (Breakfast and dinner), accommodation, any items of personal nature, personal river gear.

Upon successful completion of the courses, you will receive an IRF certificate and I card which is valid for 2 years and Rescue 3 certificate which is valid for 3 years. Rescue 3 and IRF courses are a great asset to a rafting company and its guides internationally.

What to bring to the IRF assessment?
• 1 Digital passport size photo for the I card (or we can take photo for you).
• Copy of a valid basic first aid certificate for river guide and safety craft participants
• Current Advanced first aid and CPR certificate for all trip leader participants
• River guide trip log book signed by the river manager of operations – grade 3 & 4/5 candidates need to have at least 30 river runs on grade 3+ or 4/5 rivers.
• Personal river equipment (this will vary depending on the river location and time of the year).

Meeting time and place:
Rescue India/White World Expeditions office
Badrinath road (opposite Sai Ganga Cottage)
Tapovan, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand 

We will meet at Rescue India office in Tapovan at 8:30 am on October 17th, 2016. After a short welcome briefing we then will drive to the Phoolchatti river. We plan to be back to Rishikesh every evening (first 3 days).

We will meet at Rescue India office on October 27th at 4 am and will drive up to Karanprayag (about 5 hour drive). After accommodating ourselves at the hotel (participants will book their own hotels). We will drive back to Rishikesh on October 29th evening for Diwali. 

What do I need to bring?

Please check the link below and read it carefully to see what you need to bring for the river and off the river. October might be little chilly at night and in the morning so bring some warm clothes for on and off the river, head lamp, lip guard, hat etc.

Where to stay?
There are a numbers of budget guest houses and hotels in Rishikesh and Karanprayag. Please let us know if you need any help finding hotels/guest houses in the local area.
